American Legion Post 197 provides a friendly canteen atmosphere where you can swap stories or discuss life, the Constitution, the greatest nation on earth, and everything in between.
Rent Our Hall
Discover one of the most affordable event venues in Kansas, where all proceeds benefit our veterans of the United States of America. Located right in downtown WaKeeney, KS, our spacious hall is perfect for weddings, receptions, banquets, birthday and retirement parties, concerts, dances, business meetings and more!

- 1,300 sq ft hall – perfect for your reception, party, or event.
- 377 sq ft kitchen – prepare and/or serve meals with ease.
- 204 sq ft meeting room – 17.6 ft & 11.6 ft separate room attached to the hall for business meetings or smaller parties.
- 2 restrooms (1 accessible) – clean, spacious facilities for you and your guests.
